In 2022 Blacktown Workers Club seized a unique opportunity to revitalise its facilities, creating a dynamic and welcoming environment for the next generation of patrons while preserving the core offerings valued by long-standing members.
Leading the transformation, Paynter Dixon collaborated closely with the Club and Pony Design to reimagine under-utilised spaces, enhance accessibility, and position the venue for long-term growth.
Grand Entry & Central Access Spine
A striking new entrance has been designed to improve both street presence and internal connectivity, ensuring a seamless and inviting arrival experience.
Redwood – Late-Night Bar
Designed for a vibrant nightlife experience, Redwood features soaring ceilings, large circular windows, charcoal-black cladding, and a striking graffiti wall by a local artist. This space fills a gap in the local scene, offering a stylish late-night destination for younger patrons.
The Shed – Sports Bar
A tribute to the Club’s original Tin Shed members, The Shed embodies the spirit of a classic Australian pub. A central bar, sporting memorabilia, and a relaxed atmosphere make it the go-to spot for sports enthusiasts.
Onir LED linear lighting has been strategically integrated to highlight key architectural features, enhancing the overall aesthetic and ambience of the space.
This transformation represents an exciting new chapter for the Club, blending tradition with modernity to create an inclusive and future-focused venue.
